Carico Lake turquoise is a highly collectible variety of turquoise, known best for its spring green or lime green coloration, which is due to a higher amount of faustite and zinc in the turquoise. The colors range from spring, lime green to a lovely sky blue, sometimes all in the same stone. Occasionally the turquoise has “water webbing” or a golden brown spiderweb matrix as well. Carico Lake turquoise is highly prized, and one of the most valuable types of American mined turquoise.
